The Heart

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday

Open the calendar, and a new week begins with Sunday.

Each Sunday, through the sermon, I find myself wondering with anticipation: How does God want me to live this coming week?*

52 × 12 × 4.33 = approximately 2,700

Of all these weeks, how many can I honestly say I lived well and felt satisfied with?

By Friday evening, tired after living through another week, I let my heart unwind at our house church gathering. We share our lives and remind one another to turn our eyes toward God’s grace and gratitude. Then I begin to look forward again to hearing God’s voice through the message at worship two days later.* That life cycle has shaped my lifestyle.

Yesterday’s message was a gift, too: “God needs a virtuous leader more than a valiant one. Winning hearts comes first. This is not simply about being a good person.”

Perhaps because I was reading Jeong Hye-shin’s You Are Right, it was a delightful “jinx!” moment when God’s Word clicked perfectly with it. ^^

May I become someone who draws out what lies in another person’s heart! I want to be that person. One more wish added! I pray.

*Malachi 2:7, CJB
“A cohen’s lips should safeguard knowledge, and people should seek Torah from his mouth, because he is the messenger of ADONAI-Tzva’ot.”

To cherish the spirit

Means that we won't treat people as tools
It means to treat people as the objective
The tool to achieve happiness for each and every person,
that tool is
Atomy

Create the Vision

Our lives change depending on
how we think
Who can build your future?
Only you can
You must
map out your own future
Your future depends on
how you map it out

Follow the faith

Once you map out your future,
where should you stand?
You must stand on that future you have mapped out
That is following the faith

Serve in Humility

Your vision should be high,
but you must stay humble
The basis of our behavior pattern
must be humility
It is very important
to serve in humility
